Abrasive papers are made up of a paper backing on which abrasive grits are applied using a double coat of binder. Thermosetting (ureic and phenolic) resins are used as binder. They feature a strong adhesive power and considerable resistance to the development of heat and humidity. These resins contain additives with active fillers that give the products cooling and anti-clogging properties.
